Farming for Good is a grassroots organisation wrapping practical business support around farmers who are ready to make fundamental changes to their practices, leading with livelihoods first and landscape regeneration as the result.
Farming is broken. The 80 year post-war push for production has damaged the farmer, farmed environment, and farm finances. As a result, consumers, policy makers, and the food industry are demanding a change to a regenerative approach, but so far this has been largely top-down, and focussed on a 'push' for change. Farming for Good is taking a different approach to change. Starting at grassroots level, building community and capacity among farmers to see change as an opportunity rather than a threat. Transitioning to a regenerative farming system is hard. It means a foundational change to working patterns, technical knowledge, and how farming assets are utilised, not to mention the personal resilience needed to shun 'the norm'. Farming for Good are here to wrap support around farmers who are willing to take on the challenge, accessing knowledge, funding, and technology to help them achieve their goals at their own pace. We're in this for the long-haul, so as farmers go deeper into their regenerative journey, we'll still be right there to support them. Recognising the growing demand from the public to engage with, and spend time in regenerated landscapes, we will partner with farmers to implement innovative diversification projects that pay them for sharing the landscape they have created. We're in the business of regenerating landscapes, lives, and livelihoods.
