Sensified Spaces helps neurodivergent people feel more confident navigating the world by understanding how places are likely to feel before they visit.
Sensified Spaces helps people feel more confident navigating the world by understanding how places are likely to feel before they visit. Through our community app, we offer quick and easy access to sensory support, alongside lived-experience insights - helping people experience spaces with more clarity and confidence. Back in June, I was working as a travel agent with an idea I knew could help so many people. Since then, being selected for and supported through the Public Life Citizen First programme has enabled me to rapidly develop that idea into a working product — shaped by real community insight and tested in real-world environments. For the over 13.5 million people in the UK who are neurodivergent or have sensory sensitivities, everyday environments can be overwhelming, unpredictable, and difficult to navigate. Sensified Spaces brings together real lived-experience insight, turning hours of research and uncertainty into a greater sense of control and empowerment. Alongside this, we are building tools to support venues - including a sensory insights dashboard and our Sensified digital badge, a trusted signal of sensory inclusion - enabling more informed, inclusive decisions. Our beta app is currently being tested within Liverpool City Region, and we are piloting with major venues including Liverpool ONE, Liverpool John Lennon Airport, and ACC Liverpool, capturing real visitor feedback through community-led sensory reviews. These early insights are already beginning to inform operational changes that will positively impact visitor experience. Our long-term vision is to become the go-to platform for sensory planning, creating better experiences for individuals and more inclusive, commercially effective environments for venues.
