We do this through: Building skills and capacity Supporting community businesses Working with local authorities, government and industry partners Securing funding to deliver local projects Our expertise spans training, mentoring, project and business development, innovation and strategic relationship-building. Why It Matters: The UK is undergoing a major shift in how communities engage with the energy system — from reducing local energy demand to generating resilient sources of clean energy. In 2025 we saw a surge of communities stepping up. Meanwhile, Government initiatives such as Clean Growth 2030, the Local Power Plan and Warm Homes Plan are driving action to lower bills and support the most vulnerable. Progress is strongest where local authorities' partner with community energy groups to co-design local services.
