Harnessing passive data and Ai to optimise emotional wellbeing for young people
We’re on a mission to turn every smartphone into a mental health guardian, supporting the behavioural habits, relational and regulation skills GenZ need to stay connected, offline. From working with over 500 young people, we found the missing piece as to why previous solutions have failed to scale: They are built on the assumption that young people will seek help. But 90% of young people don’t tell anyone they are struggling. The problem is avoidance. So the solution needs to be passive, proactive and rewarding. MindPsy is the first platform to passively analyse raw smartphone sensor data to infer behavioural patterns associated with mental health. Where it detects a decline, it engages with Clinical Ai avatars in a social sim mobile game, to mentor and gamify behavioural and relational change. With the first real-world dataset, MindPsy can predict decline in young people’s mental health and work with clinical partners, insurers and the NHS through a B2B model, as an effective intervention to prevent decline whilst waiting, or prevent relapse in recovery.
