The human heart is the source of passion and inspiration and commitment. Speaking from the heart is so powerful because it comes from the depth of us — sincere, but never losing touch with lightness and joy.
- Wholehearted in community — speaking from the heart, enjoying each other, offering a warm welcome.
- Discerning the causes and organisations and people you really have heart for. Not everything. Not everyone.
- Moving wholeheartedly towards making an impact, never half-heartedly — making commitments you can joyfully keep.
- Wholehearted communication — asking for what you want and saying how you see it, even if it's different.
Generosity
Generosity is a transformational force. Generous action creates an environment that multiplies good things. It's where we get shit done in a way that is enlivening and connecting — it makes us truly grateful.
- Generous with connections — warm introductions and opening up access.
- Generous with expertise and experience — sharing what you know and how you see things.
- Generous with each other when things get difficult — give the benefit of the doubt, assume good intent, forgive misunderstandings and repair.
- Generous in spontaneous ways that are authentic to you. It doesn't have to be perfect or polished.
Without Obligation
Obligation chokes us. When life becomes a list of things we "should" do we lose connection with our aliveness and vigour. When we are free from obligation we are released to make more impact.
- No obligation to give beyond what you can — we all have many pressing commitments.
- No obligation to meet thresholds of engagement — levels can and will flow.
- No obligation to fit in — free to stand out and hold a position that is different.
- No obligation to always say yes — a clear, grounded no is very welcome.
